Has much changed in regards to how you help your character grow stronger, or is the game still mostly pay2win.
I enjoy bossing however will NEVER be able to do many of the bosses as spending endless hours merchanting to boredom or spending hundreds of dollars on NX does not appeal to me. Simply wondering if the pay to win aspect has changed any.also; is Demon Slayer a good class still?
I think Nexon's been making decent progress on reducing the pay-to-win aspect of the game lately. You can earn 10 cubes a month by doing bosses/star planet, crafting cubes is now a thing, and bosses and ore veins even drop a few now and then.
Unfortunately, those only go so far. Earning the 10 cubes would take a minimum of like, eight days. And that's if you max out, which is tedious. I personally earn like, 1.5k a day - ~1000 from Star Planet, ~500 from bosses (Zak/CZak, HT/CHT, Normal Hilla, Normal Pink Bean, Gollux, Normal Ranmaru, Easy Magnus).
A Master Craftsman's Cube costs about 50m to craft in Galicia; Meister Cubes cost about 110m maybe?
And getting cubes as drops is sorta rare-ish. I'd be lucky if I even find ONE in a day doing daily bosses on two characters lol. I only have the Big Spider familiar to help with drops, though. With a lot of +drop rate %, you'd be dropping cubes fo' days.
So unless you're super rich and can drop billions crafting cubes, or you have a lot of drop rate % to farm them from bosses, it's gonna take a while to get decent potential lol.
Also, scrolling/enhancing has gotten a lot less pay-to-win with the addition of Star Force enhancement. Normal equipment has no chance to boom until 12 stars if you're enhancing with this new system, and it's a really low chance. Plus, if you boom, you can keep the potential and scrolling of the boomed item to an identical one. Also, previously CS exclusive scrolls are available in limited quantities in the rewards shop, and even as drops in-game.MapleStory is slowly becoming less pay2win.
