The 3 GMs who stream for us DN are worse than the average player for sure. Thing is you are going to get trolls no matter what that are just going to bash them for anything. They continue to stream for us every month and it really shows that they care about the community (honestly the DN team is so different from the maple team, that when I was super active over there, I always wished they could manage maple too).
That GM I mentioned, LeftClick, his name is even based on how bad at the game he is. On DN you have basic attacks you use with your mouse and you have skills you hotkey. It was his first stream and he didn't have a GM name yet and when he was previewing the upcoming dungeons/boss, all he would do was use the mouse attacks (specifically left clicking for basic attacks) which is about x1000 worse than using your skills for damage. He literally didn't know how to play the game, yet he still does streams for us and we all love him.
They have gotten better but people tune in to see what the upcoming content is, the giveaways, and to see them play through the content, usually in a below average fashion. But I guess that's the charm of the streams and the GMs don't take any attacks personally and they're usually not serious attacks.
My only concern is the population between the two games. The DN community is small and if you matter, most people know about you. I can see twitch chat and other memes plaguing the maple twitch streams if it would happen and would probably discourage them from continuing. Would be nice if they reconsider doing them again.
Edit: This is kind of on a tangent, but the mobile game Puzzle and Dragons has a similar story where the NA version started doing streams about once a month for new dungeons and people bashed the CM over and over because "he was bad" or the stream was too nooby, etc. They stuck with it and same thing with the DN stream happened, those hecklers died down and people enjoy the streams a lot more and appreciate when they happen.
